“Towards Sustainable Development? Struggling Over India’s Narmada River” written by William F. Fisher and published in 1995 is an interdisciplinary case study of dam project on Narmada River in central and western India. It contains diverse opinions pro and against the construction of the dams, and analyses the impacts of the project on the human rights of disadvantaged groups displaced by it.
